Droplet Separators Droplet Separators For the separation of droplets (e.g. water,
oils, fats) from gas, air and vapor flows, the droplet separators of J.
K. Wire Netting Industries have proven worthwhile in industrial
applications as effective and economic installations for the separation
of liquids from gases. We produce effective separators from various
materials as well as from various material combinations for very
different tasks.
In low-pressure losses, separation degrees up to 99,9% are achieved.
The laws of mass inertia and diffusion apply to separation.
We are also able, through our comprehensive range of materials, to
supply wire mesh packages made-to-order for special applications such
as highly corrosive media.
Coalescence Separators For the separation of two non-mixable
liquid phases (dispersions and emulsions), we produce coalescence
separators made of glass staple fibers in combination with a
stainless-steel wire, which are successfully used in process
engineering.
Also in the recirculation of water into the natural cycle or into the
process cycle, the coalescence separators of JK made of wire mesh
render valuable services by separating the organic phases from aqueous
solutions.
The action of coalescence separators is based upon the droplet
enlargement (coalescence) of the dispersed phase at the wire, monofil
or fiber. Depending on the respective application, combinations of
materials with different wetting properties are used. After their
formation, the droplets fall down and are let off. The coalescence
separators of JK are both available as knitted package and as
cartridges for modular construction.
